*** To learn more about me and work visit my website: BlairGolson.com Many people living with chronic pain or persistent physical symptoms feel stuck between ongoing symptoms and the message that “nothing is wrong.” My work focuses on helping people understand how the brain and nervous system can contribute to real physical symptoms—and how those patterns can begin to change. I specialize in working with adults experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, and stress, particularly when symptoms appear connected to the brain–body response to stress. My approach draws on Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), evidence-based approaches that help people understand the role of the nervous system in chronic pain and mind–body symptoms. Research shows that the nervous system can become sensitized and continue producing pain signals even after the body has healed. The pain is real, but the brain can learn patterns that keep symptoms going—and those patterns can change. Therapy focuses on building awareness of how stress and emotions affect the body while learning practical strategies that help calm the nervous system and restore confidence in the body. In addition to chronic pain, I work with clients navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions, helping them develop a clearer understanding of their nervous system and more effective ways of responding to stress. I received my undergraduate degree from Yale University and my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. I have completed training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy through the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center. I am a Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern (ISW23091).
