I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Doctorate in Grief Counseling and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and find their path to emotional well-being. With almost 20 years of experience in the field, I am committed to providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. My journey in mental health began as a Jail Counselor and Hospital Diversions Specialist, laying the foundation for my understanding of crisis intervention and complex mental health needs. For 15 years, I served as a Designated Mental Health Professional (DMHP), now known as a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR), where I honed my ability to help individuals navigate challenging emotional states. This work extended into the Emergency Department, where I provided crisis counseling support. Seeking a deeper understanding of systems within mental health care, I took on an administrative role as Director of Quality and Risk Management for a psychiatric hospital. Ultimately, my heart called me back to direct client interaction. I followed my passion by establishing my private practice, where I work with individuals and couples. Additionally, I enjoy leading trainings and retreats focused on various aspects of mental well-being.
