Welcome! I’m Izza Sahoo, a master’s level clinician at Brave Seattle. My clinical foundation began with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, where I also studied Education and Diversity. I went on to earn my Master’s in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Washington and completed my clinical training here at Brave Seattle. My background before this role includes two years as an After-School Teacher with the Kids Club Afterschool Program and as a Clinical Psychology Research Assistant at Seattle Children’s. Through these experiences, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the rich and varied needs of elementary-aged children, and specialize in working with schools to create collaborative approaches that meet kids in all of the settings they spend their time in. I have experience supporting children with a wide range of challenges. I specialize in the use of various evidence-based practices including PCIT-SM, ERP and CBT. My approach is grounded in collaboration and curiosity, with a focus on helping kids build real-world social skills and confidence through practice and research-supported exposure. I believe that growth happens when children feel supported to stretch just outside their comfort zones: where bravery is built one step at a time.
