I’m Laura Quiñonez, ASW #112176, a Certified Trauma Professional and Associate Clinical Social Worker dedicated to providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. I work with adults and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relational challenges. My practice also centers on supporting LGBTQIA2+ individuals, allies, and those from rural or underserved communities, where access to mental health care can often feel limited. My therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and collaboration. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with mindfulness and somatic approaches. Together, these tools support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, finding balance, and building resilience. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about creating a safe and empowering space to explore your story, honor your strengths, and move toward healing at your own pace. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work, with specialized training in trauma treatment. My work has been shaped by years of clinical and community practice along the rural Northern California coast, where I’ve witnessed the importance of accessible, compassionate, and holistic mental health care. Through Gaia Therapy Center, I carry forward the philosophy that healing begins when we are rooted in presence and supported in growth. It would be my privilege to walk with you on your journey toward strength, clarity, and renewal.
