Introduction

Let's be honest; we're not meant to journey through life alone. It's perfectly fine to take some time for self-reflection, to process life's challenges, and to pause and catch our breath. At the core of it all, we're drawn back in and driven by a profound human need for acceptance and love. We all aspire to find happiness. We crave relationships that fulfill us. We yearn for a sense of belonging. We desire PEACE amidst life's turmoil. In the face of hardships, many of us feel like retreating to weather the storm alone. Let me help you in navigating the storms and illuminating what might seem like dark times. Hi there, I’m SUZANNA. I’m a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #131338 employed and practicing under the supervision of Scott Johnson, LMFT #42955. I warmly welcome you as you embark on your journey of exploration and discovery along this bright new path. Wherever you may find yourself on your life's journey, know that you're not alone. Addressing issues like anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, among other emotional wounds can be tough. Despite this, I have a deep heart in offering supportive empathy, compassionate care, and fostering your comfort in facing these challenges. My journey toward becoming a therapist was sparked by a lifelong desire to understand, listen to, and empathize with those in pain. My early years taught me firsthand about the pain and struggles of trying to find your footing when the ground beneath you feels shaky. That is what fueled my passion to become a therapist. I am here to be the support I wished I had and to help others navigate the complexities of their own unique journey. My ultimate goal is to offer understanding and hope to you, equipping you with improved coping mechanisms, a fresh perspective on life, and the tools to become the best version of yourself. YOUR SPACE WITH ME Creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental therapeutic space is paramount to me. It's a sanctuary where everyone can feel safe to share and process. I'm dedicated to fostering an environment for self-exploration where you feel truly seen and understood. My passion lies in facilitating healing through therapeutic work and restoring balance to all aspects of your life. I meet you where you are and walk alongside you on your journey, employing a top-down approach as you acquire skills, gain insights, and find the answers and changes you seek. My job is to stay attuned to you, to actively listen, to challenge negative thoughts, to validate suffering, to sit in silence with you holding the space, to work through trauma, and to help you through it. Together, we can create an individually tailored, integrative and eclectic plan for healing, personal growth, and moving forward. Take the first step today, and reach out to see what’s possible. YOUR WORK WITH ME I use a compassionate and direct process to identify what is blocking you from achieving your goals and experiencing freedom from past pain, and I promote healing within and your relationships impacted by these experiences. In my work with you, I employ a range of therapeutic techniques aimed at fostering healing and growth. I often collaborate with clients to creatively blend together different modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for restructuring negative thought patterns, Motivational Interviewing to inspire change, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation and mindfulness. Additionally, I may draw on concepts from Narrative Therapy to help individuals externalize themselves from their challenges, reshape their narratives, and highlight their strengths. This example eclectic integration allows for a holistic approach to addressing concerns. Each person's journey is unique, so I develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals. Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, I tend to tailor fit my treatment plans for each of your specific needs and level of understanding to ensure you can meet your goals. I truly do enjoy my role as a therapist and am dedicated to bringing genuine healing to everyone who seeks therapeutic support from me, and I love to bring knowledge and humor together for a very supportive growth environment. Though confronting our pain and undergoing healing may be tough at times, I'll be here to offer you support and encouragement. Let's embark on a journey together to help you thrive, and to truly live out your best life.
