I draw from an array of life experiences to help my understanding of human nature and mental health, including being a father of two, husband for over a decade, previous professional experiences in education and entrepreneurship, and a background in music and world travel. For my clients therapy means entering into a safe space and a nonjudgmental environment where listening to your concerns is the main focus. I work with adults and older teens on issues such as depression and anxiety, addiction & recovery, relationships, self-esteem, men's issues, professional challenges, grief, life changes and stress. I believe that the most significant change occurs in people who make a real commitment to counseling, and I enjoy building a cohesive and working therapeutic relationship with clients who are interested in a serious and thorough attempt at self-exploration. A humanistic style therapist at my core, I operate within the framework established by psychologist Carl Rogers alongside other influences such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Talk therapy, mindfulness meditation practice, self-talk activities, and family sessions are all options to draw upon. In taking a client-centered therapeutic approach, the focus is on you and your needs as we strive together towards uncovering your reservoir of natural strengths and inner resources. Please feel free to reach out for a conversation to see if we may be a good fit for working with each other.
