I’m Abby, and I’m truly honored to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and joys. Born in Virginia but rooted in the Tri-Cities for most of my life, this community and its people have deeply shaped who I am. As a wife and mother of three, I understand firsthand the importance of connection, resilience, and nurturing relationships. My journey to therapy began through my work as an educator, where I taught students across many ages and subjects. Over time, I realized my true passion was supporting people in building emotional strength and meaningful connections—skills that far outweigh any academic achievement. This calling led me to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I’m currently completing my internship at Renew Counseling, where I work closely under the guidance of my supervisor to provide compassionate care. I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, and families through relational challenges, helping partners build secure, loving connections, and guiding individuals toward healing and growth. Drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and trauma-informed care, I tailor my work to meet your unique needs with warmth, collaboration, and deep respect. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen and heard—where hope and healing can take root, even in difficult moments. Whether you’re working through conflict, seeking clarity, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationships, I’m here to walk with you at your own pace, empowering you to reconnect with what matters most. I believe in the power of love and connection to transform lives, and I am endlessly inspired by the courage my clients show as they face life’s complexities. If you’re looking for a therapist who will listen with compassion, hold space for your growth, and believe deeply in your capacity to heal, I would be honored to support you.
