My name is Abigail, and whatever brought you to this moment, I commend you for prioritizing your mental health and am honored to walk alongside you on your journey. For many who first attend therapy, it’s normal to feel intimidated; however, I’m here to create a warm and non-judgmental space for you to process difficult feelings, explore your identity and values, and provide support in the direction you desire to take your life. My therapeutic approach is informed primarily by Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and in the fall, I’ll be exploring more Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT) modalities in order to better facilitate somatic and artistic expressions of healing, whenever it feels right for you. In our sessions, we can also try mindfulness, breathwork, and visualization exercises to ensure you leave each session feeling centered and ready to meet your day with intention. Above all, I want you to know that I view our therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one that is built upon a foundation of respect and understanding to better enable your autonomy, pace and self-efficacy. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, questions surrounding identity, or longing for a private space to breathe and be seen, I welcome you exactly as you are and look forward to working with you!
