I believe in providing a safe, accepting, and empathic space for anyone looking to make helpful changes in their life, while also providing the highest quality of care by only utilizing evidence-based forms of therapy that have been proven effective through research. Treatment begins with examining what your aspirations and desired life look like and then collaboratively developing a plan to navigate current challenges, develop coping skills, build upon strengths, and increase your sense of resilience in the face of potential challenges so that you feel capable of handling them in the future. I have received advanced training and experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) at The University of Pennsylvania's Center for Cognitive Therapy and in Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) for 6+ years under the direct supervision of Dr. Aaron T. Beck, who is regarded as the father of Cognitive Therapy. Adam Rifkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). He is also a faculty member of Beck Institute's Center for Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy.
