My name is Adowa, and I am a licensed psychotherapist based in Michigan. I obtained my master's degree from The Michigan School of Psychology in 2018, and since then, I've been working in Clinical Psychology, publishing books, and pursuing entrepreneurial ventures. As a mother and caregiver, I strive to be empathetic, compassionate, understanding, and dedicated to my clients' needs. I have extensive experience in treating individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and couples. My expertise extends to helping clients who are struggling with a variety of issues such as low self-esteem, depression, mental health challenges, and more. During therapy sessions, I use a wide range of therapeutic techniques to assist my clients. I draw from various approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Humanistic Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), among others. I also assign homework to clients to encourage positive behaviors outside therapy.
