I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CA #131843) with a Master of Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish. For over a decade, I worked in Child Welfare serving youth, adults, and families dealing with complex childhood trauma and deep family conflict. I know how trauma impacts child development and how it can impact adulthood if left untreated. I grew up in Southern California and spent much of my time in the desert. Both of my parents immigrated from Mexico and taught me what's possible when sacrifice and determination are not just valued but also practiced. That experience shaped how I work today. I offer services in Spanish to support the community that helped raise me and I offer outdoor walk-and-talk therapy as an alternative for those looking for a different therapy experience. Being in nature settles the nervous system, making it easier to talk about the things we often hold within. For some people, a video session from home is exactly what they need; but for others, meeting outside is the right space.
