Introduction

Feeling lost, unseen, and unheard can keep folx isolated in their struggles. However, we do not have to face our struggles on our own. Psychotherapy is an avenue to feeling understood, navigate life challenges, deepen our self-esteem, and build skills to navigate life struggles. Adriana has over 8 years worth of experience working with teens and adults seeking therapy for an array of issues. She is trained in the experiential realms of counseling and art therapy. Offering inclusive services from an LGTBQIA+, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive lens. Adriana is a quirky queer Colombian-American specializing in LGBTQIA+ /cultural/racial identity exploration, anxiety, depression, boundary setting, and healing from narcissistic relationship abuse. Adriana believes in a person-centered framework with the core belief that we all are, ultimately, our own experts–sometimes our expertise is just waiting to be uncovered and actualized. Everyone is unique and has individual needs. Therefore, Adriana's approach is diverse, collaborative, experiential, and creative. Adriana incorporates art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, systems work, and narrative therapy in the work that she offers - to assist clients in creating a strong mind-body relationship, ultimately increasing self-awareness, self-compassion, self-advocacy skills, regulation skills and navigation of day to day struggles. Adriana will help you traverse life's twists and turns with confidence. Adriana is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space to allow clients to feel seen, reduce shame-based thinking, and build the authentic life they deserve.
