Hi, I'm Adrienne, founder of Cover Six Counseling PLLC and a Marriage and Family Therapist. I'm also a wife, mother, and a Texan, and I built this practice in the place I call home: Boerne, Texas. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the Army and experienced military life firsthand through multiple deployments. I understand the culture, the dark humor, the pressure to stay mission-focused no matter what's happening internally, and the complicated reality of coming home after surviving environments most people will never fully understand. I created Cover Six Counseling because I wanted to build the kind of support I know service members, veterans, and military families actually need: honest, grounded, compassionate care from someone who truly gets it. The name "Cover Six" comes from the military phrase meaning "I've got your back." For me, that means helping people feel emotionally supported while they work through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. My style is warm, direct, practical, and collaborative. I'm not here to judge you or throw clinical jargon at you. I'm here to help you understand what's happening, build tools that actually work in real life, and support you through the process of healing and rebuilding. Sometimes that means hard conversations. Sometimes it means learning to slow down enough to finally feel safe again. Most often, it means remembering you don't have to do this alone. I work with active duty military members, veterans, first responders, military spouses, and couples navigating the unique challenges that come with service life, trauma, reintegration, identity shifts, and relationship stress.
