I am a holistic and somatic based therapist specializing in trauma, relationships, and family dynamics. I work with the brain and the body to ensure they are synchronized and communicating harmoniously. Consciously and subconsciously we shove painful memories, difficult emotions, and parts of ourselves we are ashamed of away into corners of our body in an effort to control or separate from these things. Over time our body cannot manage this without our mind's help. Your body may scream at you, be restless, disconnected, or challenging to calm. I can help you bring unity to your system. I borrow from a variety of modalities such as somatic experiencing, IFS, DBT, EMDR, yoga principles, and my experience of working with people for the last 20 years. My therapeutic style is supportive and direct. I use experiential exercises in session to help you manage intense or "undesirable" emotions and cultivate awareness of yourself.
