I am an MSW student at Kean University, currently completing my clinical internship at Hope and Healing Counseling Services. I earned my BSW degree from William Paterson University, and during that time, I became increasingly drawn toward the mental health field as my desire to understand and support individuals through their various challenges grew. As a therapist-in-training, I am drawn toward strengths-based, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral approaches as I believe that every individual has a unique strength that can be recognized and built upon. I want to help clients understand how their emotions, thoughts and behaviors are connected together while helping them develop healthy coping skills for navigating whatever challenges that they may be experiencing. I am especially interested in working with children, young adults, and individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, anxiety, stress, difficulties with coping, and life transitions. My ideal client is someone who is open to the therapeutic process and willing to work collaboratively toward personal growth and positive development. I understand that every client is different, so I believe in meeting individuals where they are and supporting them at a pace that feels comfortable to them.
