Introduction

The world will keep moving, but you are here for a reason. Seeking support for yourself in spite of the harsh realities of the world is a brave first step towards stability and calm. It is my goal to help you reach that feeling of safety and balance, and learn how to walk through life as a gentler (and more resilient) version of yourself. I specialize in improving the management of chronic stress, calming an anxious overworked mind, and reducing unexplained shifts in mood or sadness. I am passionate about helping others gain their voice, communicate more openly, navigate life transition, and find healing from loss or trauma. My therapeutic approach is person-centered, holistic, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+-affirming. Alongside evidence-based treatments such as CBT and DBT, I lean towards a gentle but active, direct strength-based approach. I strongly endorse the positive influences of nature, movement, and our animal companions in sustaining emotional wellness. I enthusiastically welcome conversations related to focus/attention concerns due to ADHD; existential dread and the "meaning of life"; medical anxiety; trauma; race, religion, and culture; grief, loss and death/dying; and fears of the unknown. So, bring your grim and scary, sarcasm and anger. I’m here for it all. Let’s chat. Visit my website for more information: https://sundialcounselingchicago.com/
