Introduction

I am clinically certified as a CCMHC, licensed as an LPC, and nationally certified as an NCC. I also hold specialized training as a Certified Sex Therapist (CST). Together, these credentials make me a highly trained, licensed, and certified professional qualified to provide expert counseling and therapy services to adults, including specialized areas like sex therapy and clinical mental health. I view what many call “failure” as a vital opportunity for growth and learning. True success comes from persistence and the willingness to keep trying. My clients consistently appreciate the understanding, supportive, and goal-oriented therapy I provide, tailored to their unique needs. My areas of specialty include sex and intimacy counseling, grief and loss, perfectionism, relationship counseling (including pre-marital, marital, and divorce), consensual non-monogamy (CNM) counseling, self-esteem enhancement, mindfulness, Sensate Focus techniques, LGB+ relationships, stress management, self-compassion, trauma recovery, and faith transition or crisis. I am an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, bringing specialized knowledge and sensitivity to these topics. Having personally experienced profound trauma—losing my first husband in an auto accident shortly after our marriage—I bring deep empathy and firsthand understanding to my work with clients facing grief, loss, and trauma. I am also a certified Rape Trauma Advocate and a Level Three Gottman Certified Clinician, equipped to support couples through difficult transitions and co-parenting challenges. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life’s complexities with resilience and kindness. As someone who is successfully and happily divorced, I model and teach respectful co-parenting and healthy communication through challenging times. I feel honored to guide clients toward making empowered, healthy life choices and to witness their growth and healing. How I Can Help You – Provide compassionate, non-judgmental support tailored to your unique experiences and goals. – Guide you through grief, trauma, and life transitions with empathy and evidence-based techniques. – Help couples build stronger, more fulfilling relationships or navigate separation and co-parenting with respect. – Support sexual health and intimacy challenges with specialized, certified expertise. – Empower you to overcome perfectionism, boost self-esteem, and cultivate mindfulness and self-compassion. – Assist LGB+ individuals and couples and/or those experiencing faith transitions with understanding and affirmation. My approach combines professional training, personal insight, and a commitment to your growth, helping you transform challenges into opportunities for lasting success and well-being.
