Hi, I’m Alefia. I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to understanding what sits beneath the surface — the patterns in relationships, the quiet overwhelm people carry, and the experiences that don’t yet have words. Before entering the therapy field, I worked in writing and creative strategy, helping people articulate complex ideas with clarity. That skill naturally evolved into therapeutic work: helping clients make sense of their inner world in simple, grounded language. I work with adults and tweens navigating anxiety, ADHD, neurodivergence, relationship stress, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients appear capable and high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed or misunderstood internally. My approach integrates Solution-Focused Therapy and family systems work. That means we look at patterns, strengths, and relationships — not just symptoms. I focus on practical tools, emotional clarity, and building insight that leads to meaningful, sustainable change. With tweens and adolescents with ADHD, I emphasize both skill-building and self-esteem, helping families move from frustration toward understanding. Therapy with me is steady, collaborative, and grounded. You don’t need the perfect words to begin. We slow things down, understand what’s happening clearly, and build forward from there. Understanding yourself is where being understood begins.
