Hi, I’m Alejandra, a Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy in Ohio. My work is centered on helping individuals, couples, and families create more meaningful, connected, and fulfilling lives. My journey into this field began with a deep interest in understanding the complexity of mental health. I earned my medical degree and specialized in Psychiatry in Mexico, followed by a research fellowship in Mood Disorders at the Mayo Clinic. Over time, I felt drawn to the relational and emotional aspects of healing, which led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Today, my work focuses on psychotherapy, where I integrate both emotional and relational perspectives to support lasting change. I specialize in working with couples who feel stuck in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or unmet needs. Whether you are navigating communication challenges, rebuilding trust, or preparing for marriage, I help partners understand the patterns that keep them stuck and develop healthier ways of connecting. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions who want to better understand themselves and improve their relationships. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based therapies such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and other approaches tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to provide you with insight, tools, and support so you can feel more confident, connected, and aligned with the life you want to create. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences and move toward meaningful change. I would be honored to hear your story and support you on your journey.
