Introduction

You are the expert of your experience. As therapy works best as a collaborative process, together we will create sessions that are unique to you. I am passionate about different types of therapies and excited to adapt skills and tools from multiple disciplines to utilize what works best for you. Starting therapy can be overwhelming and it can be difficult to decide where to start. I believe the therapeutic relationship can help you build a foundation to begin addressing the pieces that are impacting your life. My goal is always to help you live a happy, healthy, and full life. I am a relational, strengths based, trauma informed therapist. I mostly work with folks who have multiple diagnoses and impactful experiences. I love helping people understand their complexity and the relationship between diagnoses/experiences. For almost ten years I have worked in community mental health and other acute settings with a wide variety of mental health concerns and life experiences. I’m excited to help you sort through what has happened, what’s currently happening, and where you want your life to go. I have called Portland home most of my life and love being in the PNW. I have a cat and a dog who I adore and spend lots of time spoiling. Occasionally my dog Freya joins me in the office. I am continually learning new things and trying new hobbies- from baking, gardening, yoga, crochet and more; I am a forever student. I hope to encourage my clients to be curious about themself and the world around them as we work together. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Gender Studies from Carroll College in Montana. I have my Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from Pacific University in Oregon. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, complex trauma, dissociation, neurodivergent folks, LBQTQIA+, chronic illness and disability, psychosis, suicidal ideation, relational issues and adjustment to life changes. I prefer in person but also can see you over telehealth.
