Hi there, my name is Alex! I’m so honored to have you here, thank you for speaking up and asking for help. Anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and trauma can all hover like a dark cloud, impacting self-talk, relationships with others, and your sense of purpose. I primarily work with teenagers, adults, and youth as young as eight navigating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and trauma. I specialize in men’s issues, teenagers struggling with emotion regulation, and young adults trying to acclimate to life outside of childhood. My therapeutic approach mainly draws from mindfulness-based practices to help you stay more present, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help challenge and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to learn how to manage difficult and distressing emotions. I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help you heal from past traumas. The most important thing is for you to find a therapist that feels right. My clients should expect a sincere, transparent, and collaborative approach. Therapy is a space where you do not need to hide who you are. Come as you are, and I will meet you there.
