Introduction

My name is Alexandra Tompkins, but everyone calls me Alex. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-A) with my Master’s degree from Liberty University. I also attended Clemson University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I have opened up my practice, Still Waters Counseling & Wellness, to provide evidence-based therapy services in SC for those experiencing a variety of anxiety and OCD based concerns as well as grief and loss. I am located within Moment, Center for Anxiety Disorders in Greenville, SC. I utilize therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I completed my internship under supervision of psychologist, Dr. Brittany Rudy, an OCD and anxiety expert, and have training to provide ERP to both children and adults. I also am able to incorporate Christian faith into your counseling journey, if preferred. Using my own lived experience with anxiety, OCD, and grief, I empathize with the challenges that my clients face. Through collaboration and evidence-based interventions, I believe that I can help each of my clients find stillness and calm - even if anxiety is present.
