I am Alexandria J Aasen, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Arizona, Nevada, Illinois, and Utah. I started my career in Illinois over a decade ago after obtaining my Masters in community counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. My initial work began in one of the largest treatment centers for substance use disorders in Chicago. This is where I started my journey working with numerous trauma survivors as well. After moving to Nevada, I operated as the director of intensive outpatient services for both children and adults for two community mental health clinics. This is where I developed my desire to improve the lives of people with ADHD. I became an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I specialize in overcoming executive dysfunction and improving a variety of performance aspects including school, career, sport, and overall daily functioning. A huge interest for me is neuroscience. I love to help explain how the brain is working for people with ADHD. I feel it helps to better understand the symptoms that stem from it and how to make practical changes. Making small adjustments throughout the day can do wonders for managing ADHD.
