Introduction
The human experience yearns to be witnessed. I believe the magic of therapy exists in this space. Grief is no different, and yet, grief is infinite. Language will never encompass the complexity and simultaneous ambiguity that sits on the chest of a grieving person. I get that. I understand that every story of grief looks profoundly individual, and further still, simple– seeping its way into your every day. As your counselor, I will walk with you in this journey. I want to hear your story, be with you while you feel it deeply, and support you in rewriting the narrative. Utilizing techniques such as expressive arts therapy, somatic and play therapies, acceptance and commitment, and narrative therapies, with a clinical orientation that can be defined as person- centered and humanistic, I want to make my therapeutic approach as accessible to all types of people as possible. *It is imperative to me that my work as a counselor always comes from a place of cultural humility.
