Introduction

Hi! I'm Alexis Guerrero, LCSW and I work with individuals ages 14 to mid 40's who are struggling with Eating Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety, and more. I provide therapy for the eldest daughters, the academic overachievers, the overanalyzers, the gifted kids, the peacekeepers, the people pleasers. You’ve spent your life being the helper, the achiever, the steady one, yet your true needs are often left unmet. My aim is to help you be more physically and emotionally nourished, more relaxed, more connected, more fun, more flexible, more authentic, more you. I want to help you untangle the anxiety, the perfectionism, and the pressure, and build a life full of joyful experiences and relationships. In sessions, I am engaged and active through listening and exploring, providing psychoeducation, and helping you identify and challenge unhelpful patterns and core beliefs. My therapy framework includes trauma-informed CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), and RO DBT-informed therapy (Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I often bring in principles of mindfulness and somatic work.
