Introduction

Hey there, welcome! I specialize in treating trauma and PTSD in women, and I would love to be your new therapist. Whether you have had therapy in the past, or this is your first time trying, I am excited to take this journey with you! I have experience working with individuals, families, and students in community settings, such as foster care, homeless shelters, and the Public School System. Healing trauma, especially for those who didn’t believe it was possible, is a passion of mine. I want to help you become your most authentic self in an ever-increasing world that tries to tell you to do otherwise. Everyone deserves to live a life they're happy with, proud to call theirs, and look forward to living every day. Our first appointments together will be centered around starting on that inner calm. This is most important during sessions, especially the first few, and will continue to be my fundamental approach as time unfolds and wounds become clearer. The first session will include a brief assessment about what you want to tackle. The second appointment will include some communication regarding some goals you’d like to achieve, and then sessions will be a combination of understanding your triggers, creating some skill building and emotional regulation techniques, and working through some modalities, such as internal family systems, somatic processing for your nervous system, and psychoeducation and Cognitive behavioral therapy, to help us understand the beliefs that have been created because of the trauma.
