Aliaa Ajel, LPC is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Pennsylvania and a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of the Cumberlands, where she is currently completing her doctoral internship and serving as a Teaching Assistant in the doctoral program. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gannon University in 2013 and has experience working with adults in outpatient and university settings, serving individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Aliaa believes therapy works best when the client’s story, strengths, and goals guide the process. She strives to create a safe, collaborative space where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward healing and meaningful change. Her approach integrates trauma-informed and evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic therapy, and expressive arts. In addition to her clinical work, Aliaa provides clinical supervision for counselors-in-training and contributes to the development of future mental health professionals through her academic involvement. As a bilingual counselor (English and Arabic), she values culturally responsive care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.
