Introduction

Dr. Alison Draisin, PsyD, LMHC, ATR-BC, is a seasoned mental health professional based in Washington, with over 30 years of experience in the field. She is the Lead Psychotherapist at the Advanced Integrative Medical Science (AIMS) Institute, where she integrates psychedelic and cannabis-assisted psychotherapy into a holistic, team-based care model. She started her own practice, Raven’s Nest Therapy Cooperative at the end of 2025. Dr. Draisin earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Art Therapy, and is a Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and integrative, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered, Family Systems, and Expressive Arts. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, ADHD, life transitions, and chronic illness, and works with individuals across the lifespan—from teens to elders . Dr. Draisin is also a pioneer in psychedelic and cannabis-assisted psychotherapy. At AIMS Institute, she serves as the Director of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Provider Training, where she has trained hundreds of clinicians nationwide. She collaborates with medical doctors, naturopaths, and psychiatric providers to offer integrative care for conditions like chronic pain, terminal illness, and psychological distress. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Draisin is a cannabis education advocate and entrepreneur. She founded Ettalew’s Edibles in 2009, a cannabis-infused company recognized by High Times Magazine for its quality and consistency. She has served as President of the Board for the Center for Cannabis and Social Policy (CASP) and is a founding member of Women of Weed, aiming to empower women in the cannabis industry. Dr. Draisin is also a faculty member at the Synaptic Institute in Portland, Oregon, where she teaches counseling to future psilocybin facilitators. Her work bridges clinical psychology, integrative medicine, and social advocacy, making her a leading voice in the evolving field of psychedelic-assisted mental health care.
