Introduction

Alison Roth-Kerner (she/her) is a therapist working with children (ages 3 and above), adolescents, adults, and families. Alison’s therapeutic work emphasizes person-centered care and collaboration. First and foremost, Alison aims to create a space where each person can be as they are. Alison has formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family Focused Therapy (FFT). Alison works with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma or grief, life transitions, identity questions, or relationship challenges. She also works with couples and provides play therapy to young children. Alison grew up in Massachusetts and has lived in Ann Arbor since 2009. She completed her undergraduate degree at Connecticut College, got her Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Boston University where she also earned a certificate in Behavioral Medicine, and completed a postgraduate fellowship at Michigan Medicine. She is also a co-founder of Grove Emotional Health Collaborative.
