Introduction

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, trained in EMDR and PACT Level 1, currently practicing in a private setting. With 20 years of experience—including extensive work in public schools—I bring a unique perspective to therapy as an athlete, parent, educator, and lifelong learner. In addition to my private practice, I supervise interns and enjoy supporting the next generation of mental health professionals. I believe we all have an innate capacity for healing, change, and genuine gratitude. Life inevitably brings challenge, adversity, and moments when we feel stuck. Yet sometimes, paradoxically, the path toward change begins not by pushing harder against what is difficult, but by turning toward it with curiosity, compassion, and acceptance. In therapy, we can explore the stories you have come to believe about yourself and your life—and consider whether those stories still serve you. The way we understand our experiences shapes how we see ourselves, our relationships, and what we believe is possible. Sometimes, changing the story doesn’t mean erasing what happened. It means making room for a fuller story—one that includes your strengths, resilience, values, and possibilities alongside the pain. My approach draws from narrative therapy, acceptance-based practices, mindfulness, and the latest understanding of neuroscience. I believe our inner experiences can be complex and sometimes contradictory. We may have parts of ourselves that want connection while another part wants to protect us, or a part that longs for change alongside a part that is afraid of it. Rather than judging or trying to eliminate these parts, we can learn to listen to them with compassion and curiosity. This is where I believe the paradox of change becomes important: sometimes the more we stop fighting who we are and make space for what is here, the more freedom we have to become who we want to be. Acceptance is not resignation, and it does not mean giving up. It creates room to respond differently. Together, we can gently explore the places where you feel stuck, understand the stories and patterns that have shaped you, and reconnect with the inner wisdom and resources that may have been overlooked. As those stuck places begin to soften, new possibilities can emerge—not only within you, but in your relationships and the way you move through the world. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, trauma, and relationship challenges through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. My goal is not to tell you who you should become, but to help you better understand yourself, develop greater flexibility and self-compassion, and discover what is possible when you are no longer defined by the stories that have held you back. At the heart of therapy is authentic human connection. I am deeply committed to creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted as you are while exploring where you want to go. If you’re considering support or simply curious about whether therapy might be right for you, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary phone or telehealth consultation. Sometimes the way forward begins with accepting where you are. And sometimes, changing your story begins by seeing it differently
