I started my career in social work in the community, working with individuals struggling with severe mental health challenges. This difficult but rewarding work gave me experience working with a variety of populations and diagnoses including but not limited to MDD, PTSD, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar and other mood and anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience working with individuals who are at high-risk or in crisis situations. After working in the community, I worked as an ER social worker. This gave me the resources to engage in high levels of screening for safety as well as experience with safety planning. I love building connections with clients in order to meet them where they are in their journey and support them as they engage in change and self-reflection. I work hard to tailor my treatment to each individual, their challenges and strengths. I utilize emotion focused therapy (EFT) as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) with a strengths-based perspective. I work with all ages and diagnoses.
