Aly Dearborn, MA, LMFT Being a human can be difficult and literally everyone needs help sometimes. I have personally benefited greatly from the wisdom and support of many therapists over the years and am a therapist because I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I have been in the field for nearly 20 years and have developed an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, because every person is different and I don’t think there is a “one-size-fits all” to therapeutic work. The foundation of my practice is trauma-informed and I draw upon old-school, traditional “talk therapy” approaches, like person-centered and psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as more contemporary approaches, like EMDR and Polyvagal Theory. I have a long standing interest in feminist therapy and enjoy working with women. I have advanced training in the following: Attachment Focused EMDR Polyvagal Theory Safe and Sound Protocol/Rest and Restore Protocol Post-Induction Therapy (the Meadows Model) iRest Yoga Nidra and Trauma-informed Yoga Guided Drawing for Healing Trauma Trauma-Informed Creative Expressive Arts Mindful Self-Compassion Former Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (2022-2026) I have been a Certified Sexual Assault Victims Counselor since 2009 and have extensive experience working with survivors of sexual abuse.
