You’re not “too much.” You’re not “broken.” You’re responding to patterns—some learned, some inherited, some relational, and some wired into you! Therapy with me is a mix of insight and strategy—we name the pattern, build the tools, and practice what actually works so your healing shows up in real life, not just in session. I’m Alyiah Brown, LPC, and I provide therapy that is warm, direct, and practical. My approach blends evidence-based counseling with a criminology and psychology-informed lens—understanding not just what happened, but why patterns keep repeating. Together, we look at behavior patterns, relationship dynamics, environments, and the roles you may find yourself in (the fixer, the peacekeeper, the one who carries everything). Clients often share that I help them “connect the dots” quickly through targeted questions, pattern recognition, and a systems-focused approach that gets to the root without feeling overwhelming. Clinically, I use a trauma-informed, skills-based approach drawing from CBT, ACT-informed strategies, DBT-informed skills (emotion regulation, distress tolerance, boundaries), and Solution-Focused Therapy. We focus on building a clear, structured plan to reduce anxiety and overthinking, stabilize mood, strengthen boundaries, and improve communication—so you feel more grounded internally and more confident externally. I also take a holistic, person-centered approach because you’re more than a diagnosis. When appropriate, I have experience coordinating care with medical providers to support the full picture, including sleep, hormones, medication factors, and how stress shows up in the body. If faith or spirituality is important to you, I can integrate it in a way that is respectful, optional, and aligned with your values. I commonly support clients with: • Anxiety, chronic stress, overthinking, and perfectionism • Depression, emotional exhaustion, and burnout • Boundaries, people-pleasing, and self-worth • Relationship conflict, family dynamics, and communication patterns • Life transitions and identity shifts • Trauma-informed care and nervous system regulation If you’re looking for therapy that feels human, structured, and effective, I’d be glad to support you.
