Introduction

Hi, I'm Alysia Suarez, MHC-LP, a mental health counselor dedicated to creating a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to meet each client where they are while helping them build insight, resilience, and confidence. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, stress, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and trauma-related concerns. I also support clients as they navigate challenges related to school, work, family dynamics, and other life stressors. My approach to therapy is individualized because I recognize that every client's experiences and goals are unique. I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), exposure therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. When working with children and adolescents, I incorporate developmentally appropriate and engaging interventions that promote emotional awareness, healthy coping skills, effective communication, and confidence in managing life's challenges. Whether you are seeking support for a specific concern or looking to better understand yourself, I am committed to helping you navigate your journey at a pace that feels comfortable for you.Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward healing, personal growth, and lasting emotional well-being.
