I am trained as both a counselor and an art therapist. I work well with clients who have difficulty identifying or expressing their emotions and inner experience. Many of my clients have tried traditional talk therapy but found it challenging or even frustrating. We work well together using an experiential approach. Art therapy is a way of working that helps you to express thoughts and feelings when words fail. You do not need any artistic skill to do art therapy - just a willingness to explore with a sense of curiosity. I am certified in Internal Family Systems and integrate this approach into art and sandtray therapy. luse an integrated approach that focuses on developing acceptance, trust, and security from which to approach difficult life issues and emotions. I integrate the talk therapy with art therapy and body awareness to allow for the whole person - body, mind and spirt - to be involved in the therapy process.
