Amanda believes that healing begins within the context of a safe, trusting relationship. She approaches therapy with the understanding that meaningful growth happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centered philosophy, recognizing that every individual's experiences are unique and deserving of compassion, curiosity, and respect. Amanda earned her Master of Social Work from Daemen University after completing her Bachelor's degree in Human Services with a concentration in Children and Families. Throughout her training and professional experience, she has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across school, community mental health, healthcare, and care coordination settings. She has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and life transitions, while also collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to provide comprehensive, client-centered care. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society, recognizing her academic excellence and commitment to the profession. Amanda utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach that is tailored to the unique needs of each client. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Child-Centered Play Therapy, she works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, build practical coping skills, and foster lasting emotional well-being. Amanda has a special clinical interest in working with individuals experiencing eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related difficulties. She is passionate about helping clients quiet their inner critic while cultivating greater self-compassion, resilience, and self-acceptance. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, Amanda strives to help clients understand the deeper patterns that shape their experiences and discover new ways of relating to themselves and others. Whether working with a young child, adolescent, or emerging adult, Amanda is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, embrace their strengths, and move toward a life that reflects their values, hopes, and authentic sense of self.
