When grief, trauma, or ongoing stress begins affecting your relationships and family life, it can feel difficult to know where to turn. I believe therapy should be a supportive space where individuals and families feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I'm Amanda Gonzalez, a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), with over 12 years of experience in child and family services. I work with children, parents, couples, and families navigating grief and loss, trauma, family conflict, parenting challenges, emotional and behavioral concerns, and difficult life transitions. I'm especially passionate about helping families rebuild emotional safety, strengthen communication, and reconnect after painful experiences. I recognize that grief and trauma can affect each family member differently, often creating patterns of disconnection or conflict. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed, incorporating Family Systems Therapy, attachment-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based strategies. Together, we'll explore patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and work toward stronger, more fulfilling relationships. I offer virtual and in person therapy in both English and Spanish.
