Through my work in community mental health settings, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. These roles have strengthened my belief that growth and healing are deeply individualized and deserve to be met with compassion, autonomy, and care. I am passionate about working with individuals experiencing disordered eating, body image concerns, perfectionism, and self-esteem difficulties. I have a particular interest in the relationship between trauma and self-image, and how life experiences can shape the way we see and relate to ourselves. I strive to create a space that feels collaborative, compassionate, and authentic because we all deserve to have someone in our corner. In my work, I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating parts work. I am a firm believer that our experiences do not have to define us, but they do become part of our story. Through self-exploration, we can better understand the different parts of ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment, while learning that the inner critic does not have to feel so loud or exhausting. Outside of therapy, I enjoy stand-up paddle boarding with my dog, Denver, exploring new places with friends and family, and staying up too late with a good book or reality TV. At times, it can feel as though your care, voice, and autonomy are being dictated by others. I deeply value advocacy and creating space for individuals to feel heard, respected, and empowered in their own lives. I believe everyone deserves support, compassion, and the opportunity to take up space authentically, especially when it feels like no one else is listening.
