Introduction

Life can get messy. Sometimes your brain won't turn off, anxiety has you overthinking everything, or you're tired of saying "I'm fine" when you're definitely not. Therapy shouldn't feel stiff, intimidating, or like you're talking to someone who just nods and asks, "And how does that make you feel?" I'm Amanda Marshall, MS, RMHCI, and my approach is warm, down-to-earth, collaborative, and sprinkled with humor. I help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, perfectionism, confidence, and the general overwhelm of being human. Using CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and exposure-based approaches, I tailor therapy to you—not just a diagnosis. I believe therapy should be more than a place to vent. We'll identify patterns keeping you stuck, build practical skills, and work toward meaningful change. I'll support you, challenge you when needed, and remind you that your thoughts aren't always reliable narrators. As a lifelong equestrian and founder of Mind in the Saddle, I also help riders navigate anxiety, fear after a fall, confidence struggles, performance pressure, and burnout. Sometimes the hardest obstacle isn't the jump—it's the story your brain tells you about it. Whether horses are your entire personality (no judgment, I get it!) or you've never met one, you're welcome here. You don't need everything figured out. We can figure it out together.
