Introduction

Welcome! I am so glad you are here. My name is Amber Block-Zambrano. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona. I provide individual therapy to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized adults throughout Arizona recovering from and/or navigating oppressive systems. With over 10 years of experience in social work and an innate passion for helping others; my drive has led me to therapy and directly supporting others in their healing journey. My passion for service is especially directed at underrepresented communities; I understand there is power in being heard, seen and validated and I pride myself in allowing folx the space for that. I use a combination of Eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy (SFT), and mindfulness to help people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, self esteem, relationships, and other issues. As we develop our therapeutic relationship, we will work together to understand your personal and generational history so you can move forward with compassion for your experiences but also work towards desired change. I will honor your right to self determination and to be the “captain of your ship”; while I assist with direction from time to time. I hope to move folks towards a deeper level of self love, self care and self compassion. If you would like to move forward, please submit your information using the contact form and I will follow up with you for your free consultation. “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." -James Baldwin
