I'm a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina specializing in working with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of presenting concerns, identities, and life navigation. I focus on providing client education in support of understanding, promoting client autonomy, and validating each individual’s experience and present emotions. I value creating a therapy space where clients are able to show up as they are, and I collaborate with the client to identify coping skills, explore growth, and guide the therapeutic process. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and accepting of every client's emotions, presentation and identities. I have an integrative approach, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to tailor the process to each client’s needs. By focusing on seeing each client as a whole person with differing needs and wants, I ensure a welcoming, helpful, and compassionate environment for all identities and struggles. Sessions may concentrate on understanding of self, beliefs, values, and strengths, developing coping mechanisms and navigating interpersonal issues, as well as validating emotional expression and individual experiences.
