Introduction

Welcome! Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me. I am Amber Mize, owner and director of Mize Counseling Services, LLC. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I provide therapy both in-person and via telehealth. I provide behavioral health services for a variety of issues that you may be facing. The most prominent of these issues are depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders. This does not mean I do not provide therapy for other issues or that those “other” issues are not as important. Here are a few examples of those “other” issues I have experience with: grief counseling, social skills education, substance abuse, parenting, domestic violence education/counseling, and therapy related to chronic medical issues. In my practice, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a way of looking at how our thoughts, behaviors, and actions are connected. I am trained in EMDR and BLAST Therapy. I also use other treatment modalities. I look forward to talking to you and getting to know you.
