Amy has been a Licensed and Certified Psychotherapist, serving the Kansas City metropolitan area, for more than 20 years. Early in her career, she provided in-home behavioral therapy and facilitated anger management classes for juvenile offenders across Kansas and Missouri. Her counseling career pivoted 15 years ago, when she established a private practice that focused on providing high level cognitive therapy, behavioral modification and EMDR therapy to both individuals and families. Featured in the April, 2020, edition of SImpleKC Magazine, in an article titled "When Positive Parenting Matters", Amy is recognized as a parenting and communication expert for families and couples. Amy has dedicated her counseling career to providing patients a peaceful space for exploration and growth. The combination of cognitive-behavioral approaches and EMDR/trauma-informed therapy offers a powerful toolkit to help people understand their behavioral patterns, gain insight and develop the tools necessary to live their healthiest lives. Additionally, Amy also provides trauma therapy for The Battle Within and West Coast Post Trauma Retreat (WCPR), two organizations dedicated to serving first-responders.
