Introduction

Welcome. I'm Amy Parsons Ward, LCMHCA, founder of Charlie's Light Counseling. Seeking counseling is a courageous step, and my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I believe healing begins within a trusting therapeutic relationship, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, curiosity, and genuine care. As a retired educator with more than 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I bring a lifetime of listening, problem-solving, and supporting others through life's challenges. Today, I combine that experience with evidence-based clinical approaches to help clients navigate anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, stress, and major life transitions. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're facing a recent loss, feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, or simply searching for hope and direction, you don't have to face those challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing.
