Introduction

Hi there! My name is Amy. When problems arise and there seems to be a loss of direction, it can feel very isolating and lonely. I have definitely felt this way in different stages of my life where I feel like I don't know who I am anymore and what to do next. In therapy, this is one of many things that can be unpacked, explored, and understood together. Working with me, I can tell you that I won't have any answers. Instead, I will work with you to find the answers you are looking for because in our sessions, the focus is on your life: what has impacted you negatively? Do we have any unhelpful thoughts that we want to shift out of? What has impacted you positively? How do we maintain that? And most importantly, what makes you, you? In exploring these questions, we can find new direction and build a new path together. Your resiliency is what has brought you this far and we can uncover the strength you already possess to keep going. I work with adolescents aged 16 and older, and adults, who are interested in self-exploration to understand their identity while respecting and honoring their past paths and experiences. I emphasize cultural sensitivity, transparency, compassion, and open-mindedness in my sessions and I facilitate in both Cantonese and English.
