Introduction

Welcome Welcome. I'm Amy Parsons Ward, MS, LCMHCA, founder of Charlie's Light Counseling. Seeking counseling is a courageous first step, and I'm honored you're here. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, stress, or a significant life transition, you deserve a place where you can feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to provide a warm, collaborative environment where healing begins through a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. Before becoming a counselor, I spent more than 30 years serving children, adolescents, adults, and families as an educator and school administrator. Those experiences taught me the importance of listening with compassion, building meaningful relationships, and recognizing the unique strengths every individual brings to life's challenges. Today, I draw on that experience while using evidence-based counseling approaches tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. My desire is to help you build resilience, discover your strengths, and move toward lasting emotional wellness. At Charlie's Light Counseling, I believe every person's story matters. No matter where you are today, hope is possible. My hope is that our work together will cultivate hope, encourage healing, and foster meaningful connection—one step at a time. Whether you're facing a recent loss, feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, or simply searching for hope and direction, you don't have to face those challenges alone. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward hope, healing, and meaningful change. Faith-integrated counseling is available upon client request. Charlie's Light Counseling welcomes clients of all backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, and life experiences. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and practice under the clinical supervision of a board-approved Licensed Clinical Mental Health Supervisor in accordance with North Carolina licensure requirements. Charlie's Light Counseling Hope. Healing. Connection.
