I work with preschool and school-age children, teens, and their parents. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families. My approach is collaborative, trauma informed, and strengths-based, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices. I often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, as well as play therapy. Additionally, I am certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy by PCIT International. I obtained my B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I earned her Ph.D. at Alliant International University, San Diego. During my clinical training in community mental health settings, I obtained extensive experience working with children who have experienced traumatic events. I am trained in TF- CBT and have utilized this evidence-based therapy with a number of children and their families. Additionally, I have five years of experience providing ABA therapy to children with ASD and 6 years of experience utilizing PCIT techniques to treat disruptive behavior problems in children. Last, I have about 4 years of experience treating children and teens with Selective Mutism (SM), while providing education and support to parents of children with SM.
