Hi, I’m Amya. I’m a third year master’s student in the Art Therapy and Counseling program at SAIC. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of creativity, whether it shows up in art-making, movement, storytelling, or simply discovering new ways of navigating the world. I work from the belief that each person has the capacity for growth and healing. My approach is client-centered, empathetic, and responsive to your pace and needs. I often use non-directive methods, giving you the freedom to guide the process in ways that feel meaningful, whether through talking, art, or play. I view the therapeutic relationship as a foundation of safety and trust as well as a space for growth, reflection, and emotional connection. By staying present, curious, and supportive, I hope to help you strengthen your sense of agency and resilience on your healing journey.
