Introduction

Hello! I'm Ana Maria, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over six years of clinical experience, offering virtual therapy across Florida. I created Healing in Light, PLLC as a space where you can show up exactly as you are —overwhelmed, uncertain, grieving, or simply surviving— and be met with care, compassion, and steadiness. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, and life transitions. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning with new intentions, you are welcome here. My Approach Healing supports your journey back to yourself and your vision for who you’re becoming. In therapy, we’ll create a space that feels both safe and active: a place to slow down, feel without judgment, and build the tools to move forward with clarity and strength. You won’t be rushed. I’ll offer gentle guidance as you’re ready, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy is always collaborative and rooted in care. As a bilingual therapist born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. I hold space with cultural humility and deep respect for your identity, values, and lived experience —especially if you're navigating the intersections of culture, family, and belonging. My Approach Integrates: ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention): To reduce fear-based patterns and support healing from anxiety and OCD CBT & TF-CBT: To reshape thought patterns and process painful experiences Prolonged Exposure Therapy: For deeper trauma recovery Mindfulness-based practices: To support emotional regulation and reconnect with your inner calm These evidence-based tools are always tailored to you—with compassion, flexibility, and collaboration.
