Introduction

I am a licensed psychologist with more than sixteen years of experience working across diverse settings including federally qualified health centers, community mental health, addiction treatment, trauma recovery, Indian Health Service (IHS), tribal and urban health systems, the VA, and private practice. I specializes in working with individuals suffering from sexual addiction, trauma, OCD, panic disorder, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral patterns and conditions that feel difficult to change. My work is grounded in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance-based approaches. This is not passive or purely insight-driven therapy. It is structured, intentional, and focused on helping people work directly with thoughts, urges, emotional reactions, and patterns of avoidance. Insight matters—but lasting change comes from what you do differently. Together, we will: ** Identify the patterns that keep you stuck by exploring important life experiences, relational dynamics, and day-to-day struggles ** Work directly with thoughts, urges, emotions, and behavioral reactions rather than avoiding or suppressing them ** Reduce avoidance, compulsive responding, and other patterns that reinforce suffering ** Build the capacity to tolerate discomfort, stay grounded, and respond more intentionally ** Develop greater alignment between your actions, values, and the life you want to live At the center of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens most effectively within a space that is supportive, honest, and nonjudgmental. I aim to bring compassion, empathy, curiosity, and directness into the therapeutic relationship while helping individuals develop greater self-compassion, self-understanding, and accountability. Accountability does not require shame or harshness. In therapy, we work toward developing the ability to look clearly at patterns, behaviors, and consequences with honesty and responsibility—while also maintaining compassion for the parts of ourselves that have struggled, adapted, or learned to survive in difficult situations. I take a whole-person approach to healing that recognizes the connection between mind, body, spirit, relationships, community and culture. Therapy is not simply about symptom reduction—it is about creating the conditions for meaningful and sustainable change. I completed by doctorate at St. Louis University and have received formal training in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and task-based treatment models for compulsive sexual behavior developed by Patrick Carnes through Gentle Path at Pine Grove. Influenced by years of work with Native communities, contemplative traditions, and mindfulness practice, I take a whole-person approach to healing that values culture, community, spirituality, accountability, and meaningful action. His style is active, compassionate, grounded, and direct—helping individuals move beyond insight alone toward lasting and practical change.
